AFETTEK Platform Holds 9th Coordination Meeting

The 9th Coordination Meeting of the Founders of the Disaster and Emergency Technologies Platform (AFETTEK) took place on October 1, 2024, hosted by İzmir University of Economics. Representatives from TED University, Başkent University, İzmir University of Economics, Ankara Chamber of Industry 1st Organized Industrial Zone, Higher Council of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK), OSTİM Medical Industry Cluster, Başkent University BİYOTEK Technology Development Center, Bilim Ağacı Foundation, and AKUT participated in the meeting. The meeting began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Y. Hakan ABACIOĞLU, Rector of İzmir University of Economics. During the meeting, TED University Rector Prof. Dr. İhsan SABUNCUOĞLU, who is responsible for the Platform's general coordination, provided an update on the foundation's establishment process, which will give the Platform a legal entity. Mustafa ATİLLA, Chairman of Bilim Ağacı Foundation, discussed potential efforts to ensure the strategic vision and sustainability of the foundation to be established. AFETTEK Platform General Coordinator Ömür DEMİR KIZILARSLAN summarized the work carried out since the 8th Coordination Meeting and outlined the planned short-term activities. Participants shared their views and suggestions regarding the foundation's corporate identity, strategic plan, branding process, sustainability, management structure, activities, and the value it aims to create.
